Job Description:

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including Office 365, Windows, Linux, and Cloud environments. This role also includes overseeing IT asset management, ensuring efficient tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle management of IT assets. The administrator will work to optimize system performance, security, and compliance. This role requires collaboration with various IT teams to support business operations, enhance system efficiency, and ensure robust cybersecurity measures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and updates.
• Administer and support VMware virtualization infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee IT asset management, including procurement, inventory tracking, asset tagging, and lifecycle management. and compliance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and manage hardware warranties.
• Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and patch management for all platforms.
• Monitor system performance, security vulnerabilities, and apply necessary patches and updates.
• Provide end-user support for IT infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Maintain and update documentation of IT assets, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement system upgrades, automation, and process improvements.
• Ensure security best practices are followed, including user access controls and system hardening and cloud security measures.
• Conduct periodic audits of IT assets and infrastructure to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Work with third-party vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement and support.
• Train and guide junior IT staff in asset management, system administration best practices, and security protocols.
